Transforming conflict zones into thriving communities
Look, there's something about walking through a destroyed neighborhood and seeing potential instead of devastation. That's what we do here - no fancy jargon, just honest work rebuilding spaces where people can actually live again.

Honestly? We take places that've seen better days and help 'em find their second wind. Sometimes it's war-torn neighborhoods overseas, sometimes it's forgotten industrial sites right here in Canada.
We've worked in places where infrastructure got demolished, and frankly, starting from scratch means we can plan smarter than before. It's tough work but someone's gotta do it right.
Old factories don't need to become parking lots. With some creative thinking, they're perfect for mixed-use spaces that actually serve the community and don't wreck the planet.
People need gathering spots - libraries, clinics, places where kids can play safely. We design these spaces to withstand whatever comes next while feeling welcoming today.
Homes, apartments, housing that people can afford - it's not glamorous work but it's probably the most important thing we do. Everyone deserves a roof that doesn't leak.
Contaminated sites are everywhere - old industrial zones, conflict areas with questionable materials. We figure out how to clean 'em up and make 'em usable again without breaking the bank.
Just 'cause a building's been through hell doesn't mean its history should disappear. We integrate what's worth saving into new designs - keeps character, saves materials, honors memory.
Started this studio back in 2018 after seeing way too many "reconstruction" projects that looked good in renderings but fell apart within a year. Or worse - completely ignored what locals actually needed.
We're based in Toronto but our projects span from here to overseas conflict zones. The approach is always the same though: listen first, design second, build with materials and techniques that'll last. Not everything needs to be fancy - sometimes the best solution is the simplest one.
Our team's a mix of architects, engineers, and folks who've actually lived through displacement. That last part matters more than any degree - you can't design for resilience if you've never had to be resilient yourself.
More about our approach
We've turned a bombed-out school in the Middle East into a community hub serving 3,000 people. Converted a toxic brownfield site in Hamilton into affordable housing. Redesigned a crumbling neighborhood in Eastern Europe so residents could actually stay instead of fleeing.
Numbers are one thing - 47 completed projects, 12,000+ people housed, 89 community spaces built. But honestly, the metric that matters most is whether folks want to stay. If they're sticking around, investing in their spaces, raising kids there? That's when you know the design worked.
